U of North Dakota Will Return Native American Remains
The University of North Dakota has identified Indigenous American “human remains … thought to be partial skeletal remains from dozens of men and women.”
Which is what President Andrew P. Armacost instructed the campus Wednesday.
“When the federal regulation recognised as the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act was accredited in 1990, the college experienced a responsibility to return ancestors and sacred objects to their tribal lands.
