The Shanker Institute turns 25 yrs old this month!
The Shanker Institute was shaped in 1998 to honor the life and legacy of AFT President Al Shanker. The organization’s by-rules commit it to 4 elementary principles—vibrant democracy, good quality public education and learning, a voice for performing men and women in conclusions affecting their jobs and their life, and cost-free and open up debate about all of these challenges.
From the commencing the Institute has brought together influential leaders and thinkers from small business, labor, authorities, and education from across the political spectrum.
