iPad Screen Recording for Narrated Sketchnotes
I love producing each sketchnotes and narrated sketchnotes, and helping learners discover to build sketchnotes! I’m now educating media literacy and robotics at Providence Day University in Charlotte, North Carolina, and our secondary pupils have iPads to use as their personalized digital finding out equipment. For our sketchnoting device, we’re pairing conversation skill development with sketchnoting skills by developing NARRATED versions of sketchnotes (narrated image assignments) applying the crafted-in display recording characteristics of iPadOS.
Now I established a 3 moment tutorial movie demonstrating how to make an iPad screen recording with the crafted-in display recording function. This functions terrific for narrated sketchnotes, specially because it permits “pinch to zoom” recording. iPad screencasting is a great feature extra by Apple to iPadOS starting up with version 14. In the beginning, I assist my learners incorporate the “monitor recording shortcut” to their iPadOS “Command Middle” menu, and I also demonstrate that approach in this tutorial video clip.
Here is the instance “narrated sketchnote” movie (55 seconds) which I designed all through this demonstration. I uploaded the original sketchnote to Flickr, and added it to my Sketchnote / Visual Notes album. (Which now has 65 illustrations!)
In addition to sharing these movies to our Google Classroom assignment for this lesson, I also additional them to:
- My current Media Literacy unit web page for Sketchnoting
- The Sketchnoting site of ShowWithMedia.com
- The Narrated Graphic webpage of ShowWithMedia.com
- The Narrated Slideshow / Screencast page of ShowWithMedia.com
